Little Bay restaurant review

I love this little restaurant, from the weird dark corners, baroque colouring, narrow stairs taking to the balcony level and random music played on loop (you'll only notice if you stay for over and hour and half like I have a tendency to do - its the Greek in me) to the only occasionally changing menu (I've tried everything on there and I wouldn't have it any other way) and the friendly waiting staff. The food is just amazing, for the price. Its so reasonable I'm scared to comment on it lest they discover their mistake and hike the prices up! Now I will add this is the Kilburn High Road, London branch and I can't vouch for the cosy atmosphere anywhere else. The chicken in peanut butter sauce, not as sickly sweet as you would imagine and not really a European Satay sauce - which was my fear, because no matter how much I love Satay, it is not a pasta sauce! The Parsons Pastry!!!!! OH MY GOD! I love! But then, what's not to love, pastry - good, chicken - good. Its Light, its crispy, its bursting with flavour. The duck? Devine! The Salmon? I won't lie, it has on occasion been dry, but only on occasion! its still worth the risk! The risotto is amazing, as are the soups, I haven't tasted a bad one!

Now, for the most important....the dessert. I have tried a number of them, profiteroles come to mind (delicious) but what I am going to talk about is White Chocolate and Pistachio Parfait. Have it as cold as you can people. The white chocolate melts in your mouth as the pistachio mixes in with it, then the biscuit base....all with a strawberry on top! I love it, I order it every time I go, no matter how full I am. They're not big on cocktails (besides I have a recommendation ready for AMAZING  cocktails) But they do have a very  tasty wine collection.

Please try this amazing and reasonable restaurant, I know I will be, again and again and again. x
